Kings language level descriptors are linked to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment (CEFR).
We’ll use this measure to place you in the right class at the start of your course, and to help you plan how long you will need to reach your required level.
The Common European Framework (CEFR)
The CEFR has been developed through scientific research and wide consultation to set clear and agreed standards of attainment at each stage of language learning.
It is designed to measure and compare learning outcomes in a standard way, and to allow recognition of language qualifications across different countries.
