Parents' Programme: Summer English plus Culture
This programme has been specially designed for adults and combines 15 hours of English lessons per week with a fun and interesting programme of social and cultural activities and visits.
English lessons take place in small classes with a maximum of 12 students per class. Classes are offered at Elementary, Pre-Intermediate and Intermediate levels. Lessons cover all areas of general English including reading, writing, speaking and listening. The focus of the lessons is communication skills and improving speaking and listening particularly for travel and socialising.
One-to-one lessons in general and business English are available at extra cost.
In the afternoons, there is a programme of optional social and leisure activities including at least 2 trips during the week (for example Spa visit, historic Chester, English traditional Afternoon Tea, Shrewsbury, Llangollen, river boat trip, pub lunch). Other activities take place at school and include use of the swimming pool, tennis courts, fitness suite and sports hall. The programme may also include cookery, jewellery and accessories party, fashion workshop, yoga and Pilates, arts and crafts, fitness class, etc. Children may join their parents for some of the afternoon activities and trips.
At weekends parents and children go on cultural and shopping excursions together. Destinations may include Liverpool, Beatles Museum, Art Galleries, Manchester (with visit to Manchester United), North Wales coast and castles.
Evening activities for parents are offered 3-4 times per week and may include lectures, debates and discussion groups, trip to a local pub, bowling, canal walk, cocktail party, cheese and wine evening. Please note that parents are expected to supervise younger children (ages 5-9) on 3-4 evenings per week and at bed time.
A programme of weekend trips to London may be available at extra cost (2-nights).

Children's Programme: 5 – 9 year olds
Children attend Moreton Hall’s Junior English course every morning, where they spend up to three hours taking English lessons with a qualified primary/EFL teacher.
In the afternoons, the children either join the Moreton Hall Holiday Club or join their parents on local excursions and activities. The Holiday Club offers a wide range of activities for children including swimming, tennis, team games, football, sing-song, art, sand and water play, etc.
In the evenings children are fully supervised during their own activities such as dance, drama, film nights or games. Children will also have some activities with their parents and parents are expected to supervise their young children (5 – 9) on some evenings.

Children's Programme: 10 – 16 year olds
Children aged 10 – 16 will join the Vacation Extra Plus programme.
English is taught in small groups according to ability. There are 15 hours of tuition every week. Lessons are taught in a fun way, while still focusing on developing the four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. The lessons are interactive with video and film clips used to make the lessons less formal and more stimulating.
There is a full programme of sports and activities including specialist activities in professional golf coaching and professional tennis coaching.
There are also three excursions per week (2 full-day and 1 half-day) including one entrance per week and a weekly shopping trip. In the evenings children are kept fully occupied with a weekly disco, film nights, bowling and cinema trips and fun games.
