The course
The Extended Foundation includes the standard 3 term Advanced Level Foundation programme plus additional academic preparation, which can be tailored according to specific requirements.
Course structure
The syllabus of the extended component is carefully integrated with that of the main Advanced Level Foundation and is designed to fully equip you for the academic and linguistic demands of your main Foundation programme.
The weighting of English language development and academic subjects is carefully established for each student, depending on specific needs and number of terms. Students requiring greater levels of English development can first take a term of English for Academic Study.
Flexible entry points
Start dates and course length are flexible. You can follow the extended component for 1 or 2 terms depending on your current level. If you don’t achieve the required level after this time, you can easily follow an additional extended term.
