1. Contacting you
We'll make the application process as smooth as possible for you.
We guarantee a 24-hour turnaround of your fully completed application if received from Monday to Friday, September to June.
2. Preparing you
Well before you leave home, we’ll send you all the details you need about your course and living arrangements.
On your first day at college, we’ll give you a Welcome Pack including a local map and your personal Kings Study File.

3. Teaching you
You will be taught by qualifiied, professional teachers. 30% of academic teachers at Kings Oxford hold a PhD and are all subject specialists.
If you are on an English course, we guarantee you will have at least two teachers on your course. All your teachers will be CELTA or DELTA qualified.
We’re confident you’ll succeed. So much so that if you’re on an English course with us and don’t achieve the result we’ve agreed with you in advance, the Kings Learning Guarantee means you can study for free until you do.
4. Developing you
You’ll receive a placement test to make sure you’re in the right class for your ability.
We’ll regularly assess your progress throughout your course.
If you're on an academic course, or an English course of 12 weeks or more, you’ll have a personal interview with the Director of Studies at which we’ll agree your individual Study Action Plan.
We’ll also ensure you benefit from additional teacher-guided learning opportunities outside class.
And if you intend to go on to university in the UK, we’ll provide you with a free university placement service.
5. Entertaining you
We’ll provide a variety of excursions and activities throughout your course to keep you busy and entertained after lessons. At least two activities per week will be free.

6. Housing you
Our Accommodation Guarantee:
If you're studying for 24 weeks or more, and book your accommodation for the duration of your course, we guarantee that you will be offered accommodation within reasonable walking distance of the college for the duration of your course. (Applies to all college locations except Kings Oxford (St Michaels Campus)
We’ll provide you with a choice of catered and self-catered accommodation options including carefully selected host families, student residences and student houses, depending on the college you choose.
Our host families know us well and are usually located very close to our colleges.
7. Supporting you
We’ll give you an emergency 24-hour telephone number for use outside school hours.
We’ll also ensure that Kings student counsellors and other staff are available for support or advice, whenever you need it.
If you require, we’ll provide you with a quiet place for prayer and/or give you details of the local places of worship for your own faith.
8. Nourishing you
We’ll provide a choice of good food including hot lunches during the week, including Halal and vegetarian options.
We’ll do everything we can to cater for any special dietary needs you might have – just speak to us about your requirements.

9. Connecting you
If you are on a Kings course of 24 weeks or more, you’ll get a free mobile phone and free mobile broadband.
You’ll also have access to free wireless internet and email within the school.
At the end of your course, we’ll present you with a formal Kings Certificate as documented proof of your achievement.
If you’re on a course of 12 weeks or more, you’ll receive your own Portfolio of Learning Development. This includes your formal Kings Certificate and other personal reports.
